Israel's Defense Minister Responds to Iran's Security Council Remarks

Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz has responded to comments made by Mohammad Baqer Zolghadr, Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council. Zolghadr warned that any attack targeting Iranian infrastructure would be met with a similar response, emphasizing that the Israeli military is fully prepared.

In a post shared on the Telegram app, Katz stated, "The Israeli army is ready and prepared for any scenario, whether offensive or defensive." He included an image of the Iranian official's statements.

Zolghadr had previously declared in a statement that any assault on Iranian infrastructure would provoke a reciprocal response, highlighting that Israel "would not be exempt from retaliation" if Iran were subjected to a new attack.

The Iranian official also sharply criticized U.S. President Donald Trump, suggesting that his recent remarks were driven by anger over the funeral procession of the late Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, who was killed during the opening strikes of the U.S.-Israeli war on Iran.

These exchanges come amid ongoing military and political tensions between Iran and Israel, raising concerns about potential escalation in the region.
