The Higher Relief Commission announced the arrival of the first batch of humanitarian aid from the United Arab Emirates through the UAE Aid Agency, consisting of 29 trucks that entered via the Masnaa border crossing under the directives of UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Al Ameri
In this context, Tariq Ahmed Al Ameri, head of the UAE Aid Agency, emphasized, "The UAE continues its global leadership role in immediate response to crises, disasters, and emergencies, assisting affected communities and individuals by providing various forms of relief to achieve early recovery and ensure access to essential needs such as food, medicine, clothing, and shelter."
He explained that "The UAE Aid Agency provides relief supplies, including food and other necessities, in coordination with the Higher Relief Commission in Lebanon to ensure the provision of essential humanitarian relief services and the rapid delivery of basic needs to those affected."
Miniamina
For his part, the Ambassador of the Lebanese Republic to the UAE, Tareq Hassan Miniamina, expressed "his gratitude and appreciation to the UAE leadership, government, and people for supporting and standing by the Lebanese people in all circumstances, helping them face difficult living challenges, providing urgent needs, and working towards achieving peace, stability, development, and prosperity."
Al Nabulsi
Additionally, Brigadier General Bassam Al Nabulsi, Secretary-General of the Higher Relief Commission, stated, "On behalf of the Higher Relief Commission and the Lebanese government, I extend my highest expressions of thanks and gratitude to the UAE leadership, government, and people for initiating the dispatch of relief convoys to Lebanon in a brotherly and humanitarian stance that reflects the genuine relationship between our two countries."
He added, "The UAE has always been among the first countries to stand by Lebanon in times of hardship. These humanitarian initiatives embody the unwavering vision established by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and continued wisely and efficiently by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE President, in solidifying the values of solidarity, giving, and extending a helping hand to affected peoples."
Al Nabulsi thanked "all the Emirati entities involved in organizing, preparing, and delivering these convoys, with special thanks to the UAE Embassy in Lebanon for its diligent follow-up and continuous coordination with the Higher Relief Commission to ensure the aid reaches its rightful beneficiaries with the utmost efficiency and transparency."
He concluded, "These convoys are not just humanitarian aid; they are a sincere message of brotherhood affirming that Lebanon is not alone and that Lebanese-UAE relations will remain a model of cooperation and solidarity in facing challenges."
The UAE continues its steadfast support and diverse humanitarian and developmental assistance to the Lebanese people, which previously included the 'UAE is with You, Lebanon' campaign, embodying the values of giving, solidarity, and cooperation.
