Maronite Patriarch Bechara Boutros Al-Rahi has reiterated the importance of implementing the framework agreement and upholding security and stability. He noted that active neutrality remains the national option that strengthens Lebanon’s historical unity.
In his sermon during the feast of Saint Charbel in Annaya, Al-Rahi stated, "Saint Charbel lived in obscurity but remained present in the hearts of believers."
He continued, "A week remains until the beatification of Hoayek, the advocate of Greater Lebanon likened to a strong and sturdy cedar. We pray for Lebanon and all its leaders to be guided towards everything that strengthens the unity of the nation, and it is our national duty to support every step that restores Lebanon’s sovereignty."
