The Lebanese Army Command – Directorate of Guidance has announced in a statement that an army unit detained citizen (H.M.) at the Majdaloun – Baalbek checkpoint. He is wanted for several crimes, including shooting at a military officer and driving a vehicle with fake plates. The authorities seized weapons and military ammunition in his possession.
The statement added that following surveillance and security operations, another unit in Sidon arrested citizens (A.A.) and (A.M.) for a past incident where they forcibly entered a store in the city with weapons.
Additionally, a separate unit in the town of Minieh – Minieh Dinniyeh raided the homes of wanted individuals, arresting citizen (H.G.) for possessing military-grade weapons. The authorities confiscated weapons, ammunition, and military gear found in his possession.
The statement noted that the confiscated items have been handed over to the relevant authorities, and investigations have commenced with the detainees under the supervision of the competent judiciary.
