U.S. President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held a closed-door meeting in the Oval Office at the White House. The session, lasting about an hour, was away from the media and focused on discussions related to the ongoing war and diplomatic efforts to resolve it.


According to American journalist Alex Steel, a White House correspondent for Newsmax, who cited an informed source, the meeting was characterized by seriousness with a focus on specific agendas. They discussed ways to end the war and revisited commitments regarding the renewal of manufacturing licenses as a long-term objective.


The source added, as per the network, that the meeting also touched upon the upcoming visit of Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner to Kyiv, Ukraine's capital, aiming to inject new life into diplomatic initiatives.


The report noted that Zelensky entered and exited the Oval Office through a side door without making any statements or answering questions from reporters.


Zelensky had previously met with Trump at the White House. According to NewsNation, the meeting lasted less than an hour. The Ukrainian President is set to head to Capitol Hill after concluding talks to meet with several U.S. Senators.
