The Russian Ministry of Defense announced a series of drone strikes targeting cargo ships it claims were transporting weapons and military equipment to Ukrainian forces at the ports of Odesa and Yuzhne, as well as other vessels in the Black Sea.
The ministry reported that the operations were carried out on July 30 using "Geran" and **"Geran-4"** drones. At 8:10 AM, one drone targeted a dry cargo ship docked at the port of Odesa, while another drone hit a cargo vessel at the port of Yuzhne in the Odesa region at 9:43 AM.
Additionally, between 3:10 PM and 6:08 PM Moscow time, "Geran-4" drones conducted strikes on three cargo ships in the Black Sea as they sailed toward the Ukrainian coast, northeast of Snake Island.
The Russian Ministry of Defense confirmed that these strikes are part of operations intended to disrupt military supply lines to Ukraine through the Black Sea. It emphasized that key ports, especially Odesa and Mykolaiv, serve as major entry points for Western military aid and equipment.
In a related context, Moscow reminded of previous statements by Rodion Miroshnik, the Special Tasks Ambassador at the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who claimed that around 8,000 ships loaded with what he described as military goods have transited through the port of Odesa over the past three years.
