Massive Explosion Rocks Ammunition Factory Near Rome

A fire led to a massive explosion at the former Simel Difesa plant in Colleferro, in the province of Rome, Italy, causing a violent tremor felt in neighboring towns.

According to "Corriere Roma," the explosion occurred on the outskirts of Colleferro at a plant formerly known as Simel, now owned by "Kynids Ammo Italia," which manufactures medium and large-caliber ammunition for land and sea defense, as well as solid fuel for spacecraft. Italian media report that firefighters are attempting to approach the site to check for any casualties, but the flames remain intense.
