Away from the ongoing Lebanese-Israeli negotiations in Rome, diplomatic sources have reported through the 'Akhbar al-Yawm' agency that discussions are underway to arrange a visit by a Lebanese diplomatic delegation to Washington. This delegation is likely to be led by Lebanese Foreign Minister Youssef Raji, and include Lebanon's Ambassador to the United States, Nada Mouawad Hamadeh, along with members of the negotiating team.
The purpose of the visit is to follow up on the summit that took place between U.S. President Donald Trump and Lebanese President Joseph Aoun. It is also linked to U.S. arrangements concerning the region.
Additionally, the sources indicate that Aoun might make a second visit to the White House in the upcoming fall. This visit would coincide with a broader meeting that might include Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman or Syrian President Ahmed Al-Sharaa, as part of preparations for the forthcoming phase under the theme of 'Peace in the Middle East.'
