In a statement issued by the General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division, it was announced, 'In the ongoing efforts of the Internal Security Forces to combat various types of crimes, information surfaced via the Information Division about unidentified individuals driving a black Chevrolet Tahoe SUV, who broke into and stole large quantities of alcoholic beverages, meats, and food products worth approximately one hundred thousand US dollars from a company warehouse in Dishoniyah.'
The statement continued, 'Following this, the specialized units in the division launched field and intelligence operations to identify and arrest the involved individuals. Through investigations and inquiries, it was revealed that the theft occurred in multiple stages and on different dates. The division managed to identify the thieves, including the mastermind, who had worked for ten years as a security guard at the mentioned company. The vehicle belonged to him, and he is identified as K. H. (born in 1998, Syrian).'
On August 11, 2026, after precise monitoring and surveillance, one of the division's patrols succeeded in arresting him in the Tabarja area while he was in the aforementioned vehicle, which was confiscated.
During the investigation, he confessed to the charges, admitting to executing the theft in three stages with other individuals. He had worked as a security guard in the company for more than ten years, familiar with its details and entrances, and he sold the stolen items to a Syrian involved in smuggling to Syrian territories.
Legal measures were taken against the detainee, and he and the vehicle were referred to the concerned authorities as per the specialized judiciary's instructions. Efforts are ongoing to arrest the remaining involved parties.
