Former Progressive Socialist Party leader Walid Jumblatt expressed his thoughts via his "X" account:
"It seems that U.S. Ambassador Michel Aissa, amidst his numerous cultural and political engagements, has not yet read my comments on the so-called 'tripartite framework,' which I oppose and believe should be replaced by the armistice agreement outlined in the Taif Agreement and Resolution 1701."
Aissa had previously remarked when asked about Jumblatt's stance on the framework agreement: "One day he wants it, the next he doesn't," adding that they would be reaching out to him soon.
