Global superstar Taylor Swift has generously donated $50,000 to the family of Ashley Tauton, a mother of three who was severely injured while heroically saving another person during a traffic accident.
According to the details of the fundraising campaign, the accident occurred on July 18th on the I-95 highway amid a heavy rainstorm. Ashley had stopped to assist someone who had been in an accident. As she attempted to help, another car skidded and veered toward them. Ashley quickly pushed the other person out of harm’s way, taking the brunt of the impact herself, which has since led to a long journey of treatment and recovery.
Swift's donation on August 28th left Ashley and her family stunned, as the singer left a message on the GoFundMe campaign page: "Wishing you the best recovery possible. Sending love to your family," signed simply with her first name.
Ashley expressed her profound gratitude, noting that she had to pull over to fully comprehend the donation's magnitude. She wrote on Instagram that Swift's support means the world to her family, describing the singer as an incredibly kind and generous person.
The campaign funds are planned to cover the family's daily expenses, household bills, travel costs to and from the hospital, food and groceries for the children, as well as medical expenses not covered by insurance.
