An aircraft carrying U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security, Markwayne Mullin, was forced to make an emergency landing in Washington on Wednesday due to an engine failure.
Reports indicated that the plane lost its right engine during the flight, prompting the crew to divert its path towards Reagan Airport in Washington for an immediate landing. The original destination of the flight remains unclear.
According to local media, there were 14 people on board.
Mullin posted on platform "X": "The U.S. Coast Guard pilots made the one-engine landing appear routine."
He added: "There was no panic, just complete professionalism. After landing, the pilots told me it was their first experience with such a situation."
