The Times of Israel has revealed plans for a multi-billion dollar shipment of American weapons destined for Israel, despite a halt on a bomb delivery and President Joe Biden's caution against further arms exports. Washington has paused the dispatch of precision-guided bombs manufactured by Boeing to Israel, while President Biden has issued a warning during a CNN interview, indicating that the U.S. would cease weapon supplies if Israeli forces launch a significant military operation in Rafah, southern Gaza Strip.
The White House has consistently advised Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's government against invading Rafah without assurances for civilian protection. Amid these discussions, Senator Jim Risch, the leading Republican member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, communicated to journalists that an extensive range of other military equipment is in the process of being prepared for Israel. This impending shipment includes Joint Direct Attack Munition (JDAM) bombs, tank shells and mortar rounds, as well as tactical armored vehicles, confirming ongoing support for Israel's defense capabilities despite the existing tensions and warnings.
