Stormy Daniels Cross-Examined in Trump Hush Money Trial

In a recent courtroom showdown, Donald Trump's attorney launched a fierce offensive against adult film star Stormy Daniels amidst the former president’s trial over hush money payments. The trial, revolving around allegations of Trump paying Daniels to keep quiet about a supposed 2006 affair, saw Trump’s lawyer, Susan Neitlich, grilling Daniels with pointed questions about her income sources yesterday.

Neitlich interrogated Daniels about various aspects of her income, including allegations of Daniels claiming she could communicate with the deceased relatives of clients - a claim Daniels affirmed as a revenue source. Furthermore, Neitlich showcased social media posts by Daniels advertising merchandise from her online store, timing these posts around the period Trump was charged last year.

A significant line of questioning targeted Daniels' income derived from the story of her alleged sexual encounter with Trump in 2006. Neitlich suggested that Daniels had profited from the story in her effort to convict Trump, aiming to undermine Daniels' credibility as a witness in this unprecedented criminal trial of a current or former U.S. president.

Daniels' response to the accusations was concise, expressing her disdain for Trump. Meanwhile, Trump, donning a blue tie, appeared sullen and was leaning forward at the defense table as Daniels gave her testimony. Daniels' account of the unflattering sexual encounter with Trump at a Lake Tahoe hotel suite captured the jury's attention, reminding American voters of the controversial aspects of Trump's presidency from 2017 to 2021. This comes as he campaigns for a return to the White House.

It’s noteworthy that Trump, 77, faces 34 charges related to falsifying business records to conceal a $130,000 payment made by his former lawyer Michael Cohen to Daniels, now 45, in exchange for her silence ahead of the 2016 elections.
