A member of the Board of Directors of the Kuwait Football Association and Chairman of the Competitions Committee, Fahad Al-Hamlan, announced the postponement of the STC Kuwaiti Premier League and First Division kick-off until January 21, instead of the previously scheduled date of January 14.
Fahad Al-Hamlan explained that the decision to postpone was made to give the Kuwaiti national team the opportunity to prepare the players adequately before the friendly match scheduled for January 18 against the Palestine national team. This decision came after the cancellation of the friendly match against Lebanon. It is worth noting that the Kuwaiti national team has significant upcoming matches against Australia and Jordan in the joint Asian qualifiers on March 25 and 30.
