Dubai Government Extends Construction Deadline on State-Granted Residential Land for Three Years

The Dubai government has announced the extension of the construction deadline on state-granted land designated for private housing for an additional three years.

According to Emirates Today, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the ruler of Dubai, approved the decision to extend the specified construction deadline on plots granted to citizens by the government for private housing purposes, for three additional years starting from the day following the expiration of the previous deadline. This approval marks the second occasion that the Dubai government has agreed to extend the construction period on land granted to citizens.

In 2018, the government also extended the construction deadline on state-granted land for housing purposes for three years, set to expire this year.

Daoud Al Hajeri, Director General of Dubai Municipality, confirmed that the municipality will immediately implement Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum's decision. He stated, "The importance of the decision lies in providing beneficiaries ample time to comfortably arrange for the construction of their private homes, ensuring the psychological and social stability of their families."

In another context, Dubai has allowed citizens and residents to travel starting from June 23 and will begin welcoming tourists from July 7.
