Turkish Karadeniz Holding Says It Has Stopped Electricity Supplies to Lebanon

Today, Friday, the Turkish company Karadeniz Holding, which provides Lebanon with electricity from two floating power plants, announced that it has halted supplies due to overdue payments and a legal threat to its plants in Lebanon, which is facing a deep economic crisis. In a statement, the company announced that it cut off electricity on Friday. A source familiar with the situation stated that the action was taken around 8:00 AM (0500 GMT) as fuel in the floating plants ran out.
