President Najib Mikati tweeted: "What the resigned Foreign Minister said is rejected and condemned, and it is far from the history of Lebanon's diplomatic heritage. It falls within a series of destructive offenses to Lebanon's relations with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Gulf states. May God protect this nation from those who meddle with it and its people."
