The Kuwaiti government announced on Thursday that authorities will permit entry to foreigners who have received both doses of a COVID-19 vaccine approved by Kuwait starting from August 1. Travelers will need to undergo a PCR test before traveling to Kuwait and another test within seven days of home quarantine upon arrival. The Kuwaiti Cabinet also reported that only citizens who have received both vaccine doses will be allowed to leave the country starting August 1. Furthermore, the government stated that beginning June 27, access to restaurants, cafes, fitness clubs, beauty salons, and large commercial areas will be restricted to those who have been vaccinated. Gulf countries including Bahrain, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia have also begun requiring proof of vaccination for entry into public places, including workplaces and shopping and entertainment centers.
