Eriksen Appears Publicly for the First Time Since On-Field Collapse

Danish star Christian Eriksen appeared publicly for the first time since his collapse during the Denmark vs. Finland match in the "Euro 2020" tournament on Saturday, after suffering a cardiac arrest, affirming that he is in good condition and expressing gratitude for all the support he received.

Eriksen shared a picture of himself via the photo-sharing app "Instagram," marking his first appearance since last Saturday's incident. He appeared smiling and giving a thumbs-up while in his hospital room in the Danish capital, Copenhagen.

Eriksen said, "Thank you very much for your beautiful messages and greetings from all over the world, it means a lot to me and my family. I am fine, but under the circumstances, I still need to undergo more tests in the hospital, but I feel like I am in good shape."

Eriksen collapsed on the field before the end of the first half of the match against Finland on Saturday, where he suffered a cardiac arrest. He was resuscitated on the field before being transported to the hospital, where he is currently recovering.

He added, "Now I will support my teammates in the upcoming matches. Play for all of Denmark."

The Danish team will face the world number one Belgium in Copenhagen before playing against the Russian team in their final group stage match. Denmark lost to Finland 0-1 after the match resumed two hours after Eriksen's collapse.
