"We Brought Him Back to Life" - Details Revealed by Denmark's Team Doctor About Eriksen's Health

Denmark's team doctor, Martin Boisen, spoke about his team's intervention to save the life of national team midfielder Christian Eriksen, who collapsed during a match against Finland in the European Football Championship on Saturday in Copenhagen. Boisen stated at a press conference after the match: "We were asked to go onto the field when Christian Eriksen collapsed. I did not personally see him fall, but it was clear that he had lost consciousness."

He added: "When we reached him, he was lying on his side, he was breathing, and I checked his pulse, but suddenly things changed as everyone saw, and we began performing CPR and resuscitation." He continued: "The medical team from the tournament arrived quickly, and with their assistance, we did what we had to do. We succeeded in bringing Christian back to life."

Eriksen was quickly transported to the nearest hospital in the Danish capital, where he received medical attention and underwent further examinations. The UEFA later issued a statement confirming that Eriksen's health condition was stable, while the Danish federation revealed that he was "awake" after arriving at the hospital.

Eriksen, 29, who won the Italian league title with Inter, suddenly collapsed when he received the ball from a throw-in before the halftime break in Copenhagen, with his eyes wide open. His teammates formed a circle around him, with some appearing visibly upset. Minutes after his fall, with the score still tied at zero, the player was carried off on a stretcher in shocking scenes, accompanied by medical personnel and visibly affected teammates.

The match was paused for about an hour and a half before resuming and ending in a surprising 1-0 victory for Finland, which was participating in its first major tournament in history.
