Dismantling of a Kidnapping and Extortion Network in Kirkuk

The National Security Service in Kirkuk arrested a kidnapping and extortion network operating in several provinces on Monday. An security source told Al-Sumaria News that "after gathering information and investigating the kidnapping of a girl who was found with 150 million, the National Security Service, under the directives of the head of the agency and confirmed information from the Director of Provincial Security, moved to dismantle this network and arrest its members in various provinces, including Sulaymaniyah." The source also noted that "the defendants possess large sums of money."
