Singer and actress Jennifer Lopez, who announced a collaboration deal with Netflix last week, will star in a new sci-fi film titled "Atlas" for the streaming giant. According to Deadline, Brad Peyton, director of the 2015 film "San Andreas," will direct the new project, which is set in the future and revolves around a woman fighting against an artificial intelligence soldier attempting to destroy humanity.
This film is part of an agreement between Lopez and her company "Nuyorican Productions" with Netflix to produce various works. Alongside "Atlas," there are two other projects between the actress and the streaming platform: "The Mother," directed by Niki Caro, and "The Cipher," based on a novel by author Isabella Maldonado, sharing the same title. In addition to her projects with Netflix, the Latinx artist will star in two other romantic comedies, "Marry Me" and "Shotgun Wedding."
