The popular instant messaging application "WhatsApp" is set to soon implement a feature that allows users to view photos and videos only once. The website WABetaInfo, which specializes in WhatsApp and smartphone news, reported that the new feature will permit the sender to send images and videos that recipients can only view once. The photos and videos will disappear from the chat once seen by the other party, aiming to save more space on smartphones. This new feature will also enable users to check whether the recipient has viewed the image or not. The website did not provide a specific launch date but mentioned it would happen soon. It stated that this feature would be available for both Android and iOS devices. This feature was previously used in Instagram, where anyone receiving this type of message notices it disappearing moments after being viewed in their inbox.
