Two Egyptian siblings from Sharqia Governorate recently broke 5 Guinness World Records.
Huda Abdel-Jawad, 29 years old, set three records: the largest hand of a living woman at 24.3 centimeters for her left hand, the largest foot of a living woman at 33.1 centimeters for her right foot, and the widest arm span of a living woman at 236.3 centimeters. Her older brother, Mohamed, 34 years old, recorded two records: the widest arm span of a living man at 250.3 centimeters, and the widest hand span of a living man at 31.3 centimeters for his left hand.
Both Huda and Mohamed suffer from a pituitary gland disorder, which affects their growth, weight, blood pressure, and other health issues, according to the Egyptian newspaper "Al-Watan." According to the Guinness World Records website, Mohamed and Huda cannot fit through standard doors or ride in regular cars, and simply walking down the street is a significant adventure for them, attracting attention and having passersby take pictures with their phones.
Regarding their daily life, the website noted that the siblings hem their clothes after purchasing them, and Mohamed's growth continues at about 3 to 4 centimeters each year. Huda revealed that she hopes the Guinness titles will change her life forever, adding, "I've always dreamed of dressing like other women, but I now accept myself and live with contentment."
She discussed her childhood, noting that at the age of twelve, her height surpassed that of her classmates, which led her to drop out of school. However, she is now proud of Guinness acknowledging her world records, which make her one of the most distinctive women worldwide. In contrast, Mohamed did not abandon his educational opportunities and managed to obtain a degree in Qur'anic readings from Al-Azhar University.
