Death of Egyptian Director Ahmed Mahdi After a Battle with Illness

Egyptian director Ahmed Mahdi passed away this morning after a battle with illness. Artist Hosam Dagher mourned Mahdi on his Facebook page, saying: "To God we belong, may God have mercy on you and forgive you, and may He make your abode in paradise, my beautiful director friend Ahmed Mahdi.. Fatiha (opening prayer) for his soul." The late director presented several works, including "Masresliko" and the Ramadan special for artist Mohamed Henedy in 2013, "Ocean of Stars" in 2008 featuring Haifa Wehbe, Wael Kfoury, Carol Samaha, Roueidah Al-Mahrouqi, and Ahmed Al-Sherif, as well as "Bride of the Sea" in 2012 and "The Garage" in 2006. It is worth noting that Mahdi began his artistic career in 1997 and directed several music videos for various artists, including Angham, Sherine Abdel-Wahab, Wael Kfoury, Hussein Al-Jasmi, Ayman Al-Attar, Dhikra, and Amal Hijazi.
