"I'm not on the run, and I was going to turn myself in," was Haneen Hassam's comment after her arrest in Shubra Al-Khaimah, Qalyubia governorate, early on Wednesday morning to implement her 10-year prison sentence issued last Sunday by the Cairo Criminal Court for human trafficking. Haneen Hassam stated in the arrest report, "My future has been destroyed, and I was preparing to turn myself in to the execution of sentences police after recording the video today."
Today, the Execution of Sentences Administration of the Ministry of Interior managed to arrest Haneen Hassam, the TikTok girl, inside an apartment in Qalyubia governorate after a 10-year prison sentence was issued against her on charges of human trafficking. Haneen Hassam was transported to the women's prison in Qanater to serve the sentence against her.
Haneen Hassam appeared on her official TikTok page in the early hours of Tuesday and said, "I have never harmed anyone or trafficked in anyone; how is that possible? I am a 19-year-old, what do I know about human organ trafficking? I didn't do anything wrong; I swear I didn't, and I created an app called Likee, which is not forbidden; everyone uses it."
It is worth noting that the Cairo Criminal Court in the Fifth Settlement sentenced Haneen Hassam, the TikTok girl, to 10 years in prison and a fine of 200,000 Egyptian pounds, and additionally sentenced Moudah Al-Adham, another TikTok girl, to 6 years in prison and a fine of 200,000 Egyptian pounds, confiscating all equipment used in video production and obliging them to pay court expenses.
