"The Voice Kids" Star: I Did Not Intend to Stab My Colleague with a Car Key

The Egyptian public prosecution revealed details of the investigation with child Moaz Eissa, a former participant in the famous program "The Voice Kids", who is accused of attempted murder of a colleague after stabbing him in the head with a car key. The prosecution ordered that Moaz be placed in a care facility for a week and notified the Child Protection Hotline about the incident in which he assaulted his colleague Hassan Sherif Alwan to take appropriate action, while investigations continue.

The public prosecution stated that it received a report from the father of the victim, indicating that a quarrel broke out between his son and the accused child Moaz Eissa, during which the latter assaulted the former with a key he had, causing a skull fracture that necessitated his transfer to the hospital. The public prosecution has taken over the investigations.

Investigative authorities visited to question the victim, but the treating physician indicated that the victim could not be questioned due to his poor health condition. They reviewed the medical report confirming the presence of a cut wound on the scalp due to a metallic object penetrating the skull, resulting in a fracture, and that surgery was performed to extract the metallic object, which turned out to be a "key," and it was seized by the public prosecution.

The public prosecution also questioned a child who witnessed the incident, and he stated that the accused attacked the victim with a keychain, with one of the keys penetrating the latter's head during a quarrel between them. The prosecution then ordered his arrest.

During interrogation, the accused denied intending to assault the victim and claimed that during their fight—resulting from a dispute between them—he pushed the victim away while holding a keychain, causing one of the keys to hit the victim's head and resulting in his injury.

### Incident Background

It is noteworthy that Egyptian security authorities monitored a post on Facebook about a child bullying another child, and when the latter refused to be bullied, the accused assaulted him by stabbing a car key in the victim's head and fled the scene.

Security investigations revealed that the Helwan Police Station in Cairo received a report from someone residing in the area, accusing a student named Moaz Eissa, aged 13, of assaulting his son, Hassan Sherif, a 14-year-old student, using a car key while they were playing together.

The incident led to the victim suffering a skull fracture, necessitating his transfer to the hospital in critical condition for treatment. The source clarified that this was the same incident that was circulated on Facebook, adding that legal procedures were taken to arrest the accused child.
