Students Burn Down Their School in Egypt After Exams

Egyptian students set fire to their school after finishing their exams, prompting the Ministry of Education to investigate the incident, threatening harsh penalties against those involved. Today, at the Workers’ City School in Al-Mahalla Al-Kubra, Gouvernorate of Gharbia, northern Egypt, technical diploma students ignited flames and vandalized the school premises following their exam completion. Authorities quickly dispatched fire trucks to control the blaze before it spread to other classrooms and neighboring buildings. The authorities are currently reviewing surveillance cameras installed in the school and adjacent buildings to identify the students involved. Dr. Mohamed Majeed, Deputy Minister of Education for Technical Education, revealed that the ministry is investigating the circumstances and motivations behind the incident, vowing strict penalties for those involved.
