Russian emergency services reported that initial data indicates all passengers and crew members perished in the crash of the An-26 plane in Kamchatka. The Russian Federal Air Transport Agency had previously stated that rescue teams found the wreckage of the An-26, which lost contact during a domestic flight in Kamchatka. TASS news agency quoted Alexei Kharabrov, the General Director of Kamchatka Aviation, saying: "Yes, they found the wreckage of the plane. I can't say where and under what conditions. Information will only be available tomorrow. A plane will head to the site in the morning, and a helicopter will start operations." A source in emergency services confirmed the discovery of the wreckage, indicating there were no survivors from the plane crash, while the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that the wreckage was found 3.8 kilometers from the airport of the village of Palana, noting that the plane had struck a hill before falling, resulting in its destruction.
