Tragic Death of Child After Being Thrown to the Ground During Judo Training

A seven-year-old child in Taiwan died after being thrown to the ground 27 times during judo training. The child suffered from severe brain hemorrhaging in April after finishing a training session that involved throwing techniques executed by his teammate and coach. The boy, whose name has not been disclosed by authorities, fell into a coma and underwent treatment to save his life. According to local media reports, his parents decided to withdraw life support after about 70 days.

The local news site "Taipei Times" reported that the boy's coach, who is in his late sixties, is accused of physical assault leading to serious injury and committing a crime against a minor. The coach was released earlier this month on a bail of 100,000 Taiwanese dollars (equivalent to 3,583 US dollars).
