The Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, Kristalina Georgieva, warned today, Monday, of a "severe disparity" between advanced and developing countries in their efforts to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic. She stated that strong growth in wealthy countries like the United States is "good news," but growth in developing countries is hindered by the slow pace of vaccination. She added during the Paris Peace Forum, "This poses a risk to... growth and also a risk to global stability and security."
