Blinken Says He Will Travel to Doha on Sunday

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said on Friday that he will travel to Qatar on Sunday to meet with officials from the Arab country and to thank them for their assistance during the evacuation from Afghanistan. The minister added that he would then travel to Germany to participate in a ministerial meeting. Blinken explained in a press conference at the State Department that he would meet with Afghans and staff in Qatar "who are truly doing heroic work around the clock."
