To Return to United: Ronaldo Sacrificed This Amount from His Salary

After Manchester United announced on Friday that they reached an agreement to sign striker Cristiano Ronaldo from Juventus, the British newspaper "Mirror" revealed financial details regarding the "don's" salary. The "Mirror" reported that Cristiano Ronaldo agreed to reduce his wage by £6 million to join Manchester United.

Despite this reduction, the Portuguese star will still be the highest-paid player in the "Red Devils," earning £385,000 a week. Ronaldo's agent, Jorge Mendes, requested Manchester United to pay £20 million annually for the 36-year-old "Madeira missile." Ronaldo had entered the last 12 months of his contract with Juventus, where reports indicate he was earning £500,000 a week, equivalent to £26 million a year.

Even with the pay cut, Ronaldo's salary at United will remain the best in the "Red Devils," surpassing that of goalkeeper David De Gea, who earns £375,000 a week according to the website "Spotrac," which specializes in revealing contract and salary details of football players.
