Dozens of Deaths in Canada Due to

More than 34 people have unexpectedly died in Vancouver, Canada, due to a severe heat wave that struck the western part of the country, according to a statement from local police. The heat wave has not only affected Canada but has also impacted areas on the west coast of the United States, with temperatures reaching as high as 47 degrees Celsius at times.

The police stated that an investigation is underway to determine the cause of these sudden deaths, but the most likely factor so far is the significant rise in temperature. The police department's statement indicated that the elderly comprised the majority of those who passed away during this significant heat wave.

In the United States, temperatures also soared in cities in Oregon and Washington, disrupting many daily activities for residents. Reports indicated that people in Portland, Oregon, rushed to purchase air conditioning units, leading to them being completely sold out, while finding ice for cooling purposes became increasingly difficult.

In Oregon, cooling centers have been opened, mainly inside libraries, for individuals who do not have air conditioning to avoid health deterioration due to the heat.
