Egypt Wins Against Libya with a "Triple" and Tops Its Group in World Cup Qualifiers

Egypt secured the top position in Group 6 of the African qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup after a 3-0 victory over Libya, the host team, on Monday. Ahmed Abou El-Fotouh scored the first goal in the 39th minute, and Mostafa Mohamed added the second with a header just before halftime. Substitute Ramadan Sobhi finished off the scoring after a pass from captain Mohamed Salah in the 72nd minute. Egypt repeated its victory over Libya after winning 1-0 in Alexandria last week in the first match for its Portuguese coach Carlos Queiroz.
