Blinken Talks with Sudanese Foreign Minister and Condemns Arrest of Civilian Leaders

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken stated on his Twitter account on Thursday that he spoke by phone with Sudanese Foreign Minister Mariam Al-Sadiq Al-Mahdi and expressed his condemnation of the arrest of civilian leaders in Sudan. He added that they discussed the best ways the United States could support the Sudanese people in their demands for a return to democracy.
