The Turkish Ministry of Defense announced on Saturday that two Turkish soldiers were killed and three others were injured in an attack in the Idlib region of northwest Syria. It added that the troops were conducting a "search and sweep operation." Idlib is the last major area in Syria still controlled by opposition forces. Turkish and Russian forces conduct joint patrols in parts of the region.
