The Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen announced early Sunday that it intercepted and destroyed a bomb-laden drone in Yemeni airspace, launched by the Houthi militia towards Saudi Arabia. The coalition stated that the militia's hostile attempts are systematic and deliberate to target civilians and civilian objects. It confirmed the implementation of necessary operational procedures to protect civilians in accordance with international humanitarian law. On Friday, the coalition announced the interception and destruction of a ballistic missile launched by the Houthi militia towards civilian targets in Jazan, Saudi Arabia. On Thursday, the official spokesman for the coalition forces, Brigadier General Turki al-Maliki, announced that the Royal Saudi Air Defense Forces successfully intercepted and destroyed 4 bomb-laden drones and 5 ballistic missiles launched by the Iranian-backed Houthi militia from the Saada governorate towards Jazan city on Wednesday night and Thursday morning.
