A two-year-old boy killed his mother after accidentally shooting her while she was on the phone with a friend in Florida, USA. Details reveal that the child found a gun in a backpack that had been left at home and decided to play with the weapon, accidentally firing it and fatally wounding his mother, Shamiya Lynn, who was 21 years old.
The mother's friend called emergency services upon hearing the gunshot and not receiving a response from the victim. The situation was complicated by the friend’s lack of knowledge of the mother’s location.
After some time, the victim's sister returned home to find her sister lying in a pool of her own blood, while the child continued to play beside her. The 22-year-old sister immediately called for an ambulance and the police, but the victim died due to her injuries.
The police arrested the husband, who owned the gun, while the victim's body was taken to the medical examiner's office, according to Sputnik news agency.
