The Qatari Emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, issued a decree appointing Sheikh Bandar bin Mohammed bin Saud Al Thani as the Governor of the Qatar Central Bank, as reported by Reuters on Wednesday. Sheikh Bandar will take over the central bank from Sheikh Abdullah bin Saud Al Thani, who has led the bank since 2006. Sheikh Bandar previously headed the Qatari Audit Bureau before taking on the role of Central Bank Governor. The Emir's office appointed Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al-Emadi as the new head of the Audit Bureau, succeeding Sheikh Bandar.
