A university professor in Egypt faced an attempted kidnapping after her brother sought to violate her after abducting her in the street in the Daqahlia Governorate. The professor reported, "My brother kidnapped me with a friend and they tried to assault me," explaining that he lured her under the pretext of needing her to sign a waiver for her inheritance at the notary, only to be surprised when he stopped on the road, drove into an open field, and tied her hands.
The victim's brother incited his friend to attack her so he could film her in a compromising position and threaten her with the footage. He also began to remove her clothing until her screams reached passersby. The victim described the event stating that the accused restrained her hands, revealing that her brothers and his friend used plastic ties to bind her and gagged her with medical tape, then took the jewelry she was wearing. Her brother threatened to expose her, saying, "He pulled me by my clothes until I was undressed, and filmed me with his friend."
She added that "the driver also got out of the car, opened the trunk, and I was shocked when they attacked me while I was in the back seat of the car. They tied my hands, and I was surprised that my brother and his friend were tying me up with plastic ties; they had planned what they did to me, gagged me with medical tape, and took the gold I was wearing on my hands and neck. Then my brother threatened me that he would expose me and pulled my clothes until I was undressed and filmed me with his friend."
Her brother told her, "I swear I will film you with my friend and expose you at the university where you work." She said, "He pushed me onto the sofa of the car and began to take off my clothes, requesting his friend to assault me. I screamed, and the passersby heard my voice, which is what saved me from them."
The brother and his friend attempted to flee, but passersby alerted the emergency police, who arrived immediately, arresting one of the suspects while the police investigation department of the first police station in Mansoura managed to apprehend the second suspect.
