UAE Bans Entry of Travelers from Indonesia and Afghanistan

The UAE has decided to suspend the entry of travelers coming from Indonesia and Afghanistan starting from July 11, except for transit flights heading to these countries. The decision, related to concerns about the coronavirus, includes a ban on travelers who have been in these countries within the 14 days prior to entering the UAE. According to the UAE News Agency, citing the General Authority of Civil Aviation and the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority, the UAE will also prevent its citizens from traveling to Indonesia and Afghanistan, except for diplomatic missions, emergency medical cases, and officially authorized economic and scientific delegations.
