Seizure of 1,070,000 Captagon Pills Smuggled into Saudi Arabia

The spokesperson for the General Directorate of Narcotics Control, Lieutenant Muhammad Al-Najidi, stated that the security monitoring of drug smuggling and trafficking networks targeting the security of the Kingdom and its youth has resulted in thwarting an attempt to smuggle and promote (1,070,000) Captagon pills. These pills were hidden in coffee packages smuggled into the Kingdom, in coordination with the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority. Six individuals were arrested in the city of Dammam, including four citizens and two residents of Yemeni nationality. They were detained, and initial legal procedures were taken against them before being referred to the Public Prosecution.
