Lebanese artist Haifa Wehbe shared a new video of herself in Paris with her close friend. In the video, she showcased her purchase of expensive shoes from two well-known brands, Chanel and Nike, jokingly stating that she would soon declare bankruptcy due to her friend's encouragement to shop from these brands.
Following the release of the video, Wehbe faced a wave of criticism, with some questioning the purpose of flaunting her wealth while the Lebanese people are suffering from hardships and difficult living conditions.
A similar situation occurred with artist Assi El Helani and his son Walid when they were criticized for taking the COVID vaccine in Dubai and for holding two concerts in Lebanon despite the spread of the virus. However, it should be noted that Haifa Wehbe did not steal public funds nor does she head any political party; rather, she accumulated her wealth through her hard work, and she has the right to live as she wishes.
