French Ambassador Anne Gryo confirmed that "there is a steadfast conviction that Lebanon's future relies on (re)building a state that serves Lebanese citizens who are treated as equal citizens." She emphasized that "France, like the entire international community, is ready to support the state in Lebanon and its institutions, but there are specific conditions for this, as the awaited reforms must not be delayed any longer."
The French ambassador's remarks came during the opening dedicated to the discussion on the topic "No Option but a Capable State" at the Bassel Fleihan Institute in partnership with the French National Institute for Public Service and the French Embassy in Lebanon.
