Military Raid in Aakar Results in Injuries and Arrests

The Army Command - Directorate of Orientation has issued the following statement: "An army unit carried out a raid in the town of Ain Al-Dahab in Akkar, apprehending citizens (Z.A.) and (M.A.) for their involvement in a shooting incident on June 7, 2026.

During the raid, citizen (S.A.) opened fire on the unit members, prompting them to return fire, which resulted in the injury of a soldier and the shooter. The injured shooter was transported to a hospital for treatment. The operation also led to the seizure of the weapon used and a quantity of ammunition. Additionally, another unit in the same town detained citizens (Sh.A.) and (T.K.) for their roles in previous shootings.

The army also raided homes of wanted individuals in the Tal Al Abyad area in Baalbek, arresting citizen (H.J.) on multiple charges, including shooting at an army patrol, and citizen (A.K.) for possession of narcotics.
The confiscated items were handed over, and an investigation with the detainees is underway under the supervision of the competent judiciary."
