The autopsy conducted by forensic doctor Ali Dib in the Nabatya district revealed that the Ansar crime resulted from gunfire from a hunting weapon to the heads of the three girls, while the mother was shot in the neck. The forensic examination did not find any link between the murders and human organ trafficking. It was determined that the killings occurred more than twenty days ago, as the bodies were nearly decomposed. They were placed in a cave, and the killer, with the assistance of a Syrian accomplice, covered the bodies with sand and gravel, in addition to concrete. The investigations have not yet revealed the motives for the murders.
