This marks the fourth time Salah has been awarded Liverpool's Player of the Month this season, having previously won it three consecutive times in August, September, and October. Salah, who is currently participating with his national team in the Africa Cup of Nations, leads the Premier League's top scorers chart with 16 goals, ahead by 6 goals from his closest rival, Liverpool teammate Diogo Jota, who has 10 goals.
