Minister of Public Works and Transport in the caretaker government, Ali Hamieh, has referred a letter to the company "Khatib and Alami," requesting a comprehensive assessment of the structural condition of the Beirut Port silos "to take appropriate actions and measures, particularly regarding what remains of the silos, especially the southern ones."
In the letter, the minister requested the company to provide a detailed report that includes information about "the structural condition of the foundations, the structural condition of the piles, the structural condition of the southern silos, and their current tilt."
